About
Hi, I'm Shoni
WHAT DO YOU HOPE PEOPLE TAKE AWAY FROM THIS RELEASE?
I hope people understand the importance of embracing every emotion as it arises and persevering through life’s challenges. Regardless of what may be going on in their life and/or the world, beauty can be created from chaos. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. I recorded this project in Virginia Beach, where I grew up, which wasn't the best experience for me, given the obstacles I had to overcome. Shades of Blues is my bittersweet love song and goodbye to Virginia.

Best R&B Album

Shades of Blues is a soul-baring journey that blends vulnerability, resilience, and the healing power of music. Shoni weaves stories of personal struggle, love, and faith into a rich sonic landscape that is both intimate and universal.

From the haunting imagery of “Hwy 95” and the raw honesty of “Daddy’s Girls,” to the tender longing of “Page” and the uplifting spirit of “Won’t Complain,” each track offers a different shade of the human experience. With “Bassline” (feat. Jae Writez), Shoni reminds us of the transformative joy that only music can bring.

Bold, reflective, and deeply emotional, Shades of Blues stands as a testament to finding strength through vulnerability and turning life’s challenges into timeless art.

Best Americana Performance
